Knapweed, Campion and Teasel seed heads dance across the landscape creating a natural musical score. Stark black notes are silhouetted against the soft grey skies of the English Autumn, a score so graphic you can almost hear the music. Does nature bring out the Romantic in you?
It's hard not to find inspiration out in the landscape. The ever changing rhythms, the stark contrast in light, temperature, colour, line and smell all render towards a composition. Field margins and hedgrows provide a landscape on the move as new wildflowers emerge to replace those earlier on the season, and flowers turn to fruit and seed an instant musical score.
What inspires you about landscape? Is the work you do influenced by the rhythm of the seasons?
